Relieve Tension and Improve Mobility With These Stretches
This session happening on Zoom will not only allow you to catch up with your friends, but also allow you to learn and practice some stretches that are designed and modified specifically to be easily incorporated in your daily lives. These stretches, if done regularly, will allow you to improve your mobility and relieve the tension in your body.
Cayden will be leading the session with specially modified stretches that are meant to be done on the bed (or a yoga mat) without any equipment at all. This allows you to start or end your day with a relaxing stretch routine.
Stretching and muscle activation is particularly important in older adults as muscles and joints weaken and range of movement deteriorates as we age. Stretching would play an important role in maintaining mobility in older adults and improving their blood flow and circulation within the body. Muscle activation will improve our mind-muscle connection to ensure better engagement of our muscles during our daily activities.
The catch up session will commence at 4pm and is expected to end around 5pm so that you can head off in time to prepare for your dinner. You will require a yoga mat or bed (or anywhere that you can comfortably lie down on) for the stretch session as the exercises are done lying down.
